KNOTCAM / COMMUNITY GUIDELINES

CONSENT IS
THE BASELINE.

These rules apply across text, audio, and video conversations. They explain the conduct expected from adults using KnotCam and the fastest useful response when a boundary is crossed.

STRICTLY 18+Leave any conversation at any timeReport and block where available
01

Adults only

KnotCam is intended strictly for people aged 18 or older. Do not use the service if you are under 18, and leave and report a session when a participant appears to be underage.

02

Consent is ongoing

Do not pressure another person for sexual content, another camera angle, personal contact details, money, documents, or a longer conversation. A person may change their mind or leave at any time.

03

No threats, exploitation, or harassment

Threats, coercion, stalking, hate-based abuse, impersonation, blackmail, non-consensual sexual conduct, and repeated unwanted contact are not acceptable.

04

Do not trade trust for money or credentials

Do not request or send payment details, login codes, recovery codes, identity documents, or money during a stranger conversation. Urgency does not make the request safer.

05

Respect privacy and lawful content boundaries

Do not record, redistribute, or expose another person without permission. Do not display illegal, exploitative, or non-consensual material, and do not involve people in your room who have not agreed to appear.

06

Leave first, then report

When a session becomes unsafe, end the interaction before arguing with the other person. Use the available report or block control while the session can still be identified. Reporting is not an emergency service.

WHEN SOMETHING GOES WRONG

STOP THE CONTACT
BEFORE COLLECTING PROOF.

  1. Leave the conversation.Do not keep a harmful session open to win an argument or gather more material.
  2. Use report or block controls.Describe observable behavior and the sequence of events without adding unnecessary sensitive information.
  3. Protect exposed accounts or money.Change compromised credentials and contact the relevant financial provider if a payment or card detail was involved.
  4. Use local emergency help for immediate danger.KnotCam reporting does not replace emergency services or law enforcement.
